Our staff is committed to providing professional services in a nurturing, compassionate, healthy and therapeutic environment.
We offer hope and healing to families and individuals who are experiencing difficulties related to behavioral, psychological or emotional challenges, addictions and/or loss.
At Still Waters, we have a large staff of counselors and contractors that usually work outside of the office providing in-home services on a daily basis, we also have an Administrative Staff that helps keep all of the wheels spinning.

LeAnn G. Jean, LPC, MAC, CPCS
Founder and CEO
LeAnn Jean, LPC, MAC, NCC is the founder and CEO of Still Waters Professional Counseling, Inc.
She is a graduate of the University of Maine and has over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, working with children and families. She also has specialized training in the area of substance abuse.
LeAnn is a visionary entrepreneur who owns several businesses in addition to SWPCI.
LeAnn is a local resident of Columbia County and has dedicated the last 20 years of her life to helping children and families locally and from around the world.
She loves to spend time with her kids boating, attending any New England ball game and social events.

Shareika Norman, LPC
Program Director
Starting her employment in 2009, Shareika has the distinguished honor of being the longest employed person at Still Waters.
She received her undergraduate degree in Sociology with a minor in Social Work at Augusta State University and finalized her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at Troy University.
Shareika’s clinical knowledge is deep and she handles many areas including all Team Leaders, Counselors, Interns and Contractors.

Amber Poss, LPC
Clinical Director
Amber is a native of Augusta, GA, and has been with Still Waters since 2010.
Amber graduated from Augusta State University in 2010 with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a Minor in Criminal Justice. After, she graduated from Troy with a Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2017. Then went on to received an LAPC in November of 2018 and her LPC in July 2020.
Amber knows at bit of everything at Still Waters, she’s the one we all go to when we have the most difficult questions.
Amber enjoys reading, coloring, and sleeeeeeping. Zzzzzz!

Lori Pack Messaadi
Business Operations Director
Lori owned an advertising agency for 17 years, doing national and international level work for multiple major corporations.
She specializes in infrastructure, business development, graphic design, and image development.
She loves building businesses and helping people reach their potential and dreams.
Lori’s door is always open to discuss better ways to run the business, new ideas and employees’ personal goals.
Lori is an art collector, enjoys painting, drawing, sculpture making, creating memes on facebook, landscape design and, the study of all religions.

Patricia is from Augusta, GA. She has been Still Waters since 2014.

Susan Shorey
Fiscal Manager
Prior to joining the SWPC team, Susan had worked in medical billing and office administration. She has also worked for a number of years as the lead book keeper for a local nonprofit. She has been a foster parent, worked as a respite provider for troubled teens, and worked with her husband as a co-program director for a local youth program. Susan is responsible for the fiscal office and works virtually from her office in Maine near Acadia National Park.

Billing
After receiving her education in Illinois, Elizabeth relocated to Augusta’s warm climate.
She has enjoyed various types of office work including purchasing, accounting and medical billing. She is in her 25th year of billing and enjoys the daily variety and challenges that this field offers.
Elizabeth is married and loves to travel, knit, sew and cook.

Christy McWaters, MS, ST
Special Programs Manager
Christy is from Valdosta, GA and is a military spouse, as a result she has lived many places including Alaska.
She has her bachelors in Psychology from the University of Anchorage Alaska and has her Masters degree in Addiction Counseling from Grand Canyon University.
Christy worked in law enforcement for 8 years and also worked at a women’s recovery facility for substance abuse. She manages many departments in Still Waters, including our Intake Department, P.A.S.S. program and TTC.
She enjoys eating, traveling and spending time with her family.

Nicole Rader,
P*A*S*S* Lead
Nichole Rader grew up in Bakersfield CA. She started her employment at Still Waters as an intern in 2018 and now is currently our acting P*A*S*S* Lead which focuses on school children.
Nichole has a Bachelors degree in Psychology from California State University Dominguez Hills and Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Troy University.
She also served in the Army for 11 years with her highest rank being a captain. During this time, she had two deployments to Iraq.
Nichole enjoys spending time with her daughter, shopping and eating desserts.

Briana Thomas-Pennamon
Medical Assistant
Briana was born on April 24th to John and Phyllis Thomas.
Briana attended Virginia College and graduated as a Medical Assistant.
She is married to John and they have three beautiful children. Briana loves going to church and spending time with her family and close friends.
Briana is at the front desk handling much more than just phone calls. If you need to schedule a doctor’s appointment or make a referral for your individual/client, she’s the one to call.
